MICHAEL CROWNER

Supervisor

Michael began his term in May 2021. He is a career financial services professional and currently works as a Loan Specialist in the mortgage industry. He started his career in investment banking advising government entities and elected officials. It was this experience that sparked Michael’s interest in serving in government. He has an MBA in Finance from the Kellogg School of Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Northwestern University. In addition to his role as Supervisor, Michael serves on the Governing Council for the Will County Community Health Center and is a Board Member for the Will County Community Development Block Grant / HOME Advisory Board. A resident of Will County since 2004, Michael currently resides in unincorporated Plainfield with his wife and 2 daughters.

TOM WIESER

Highway Commissioner

Tom was elected as Wheatland Township Road Commissioner in May 2021.  He is an engineering, technology and sustainability executive who has worked for software and technology firms for 25 years.  He is a recognized leader in sustainability and HVAC equipment.  A 10-year resident of Naperville, Tom and his wife are raising a daughter in the community.  He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University, a Masters in Engineering Management (MEM) from Northwestern University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management.  Tom is a professional engineer and an active member of several professional associations.  Tom enjoys traveling, and spending time with his family.

ANITA LISKEY

Clerk

Anita was elected as Wheatland Township Clerk in May 2021.  She is a financial marketing and communications executive who has worked in the financial industry at global exchanges, banks, and mutual fund companies for more than 25 years. She is a recognized leader in brand building as well as crisis communications and reputation management.  An 18-year resident of Naperville, Anita and her husband raised their two sons in the community.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northern Illinois University and a member of several professional associations.  Anita is an active community volunteer and supporter of the Arts, serving on the advisory board of the Gene Siskel Film Center School of the Art Institute of Chicago.  She also enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with her family.

KELLY HICKEY

Trustee

Kelly was elected as a Trustee of Wheatland Township in May 2021. She has lived in Naperville with her husband and two sons for 18 years. With a professional background in medical practice management, Kelly is an active community participant and regular volunteer, serving as a Precinct Committeeperson. She is a strong advocate for her son who has Autism Spectrum Disorder and also has been a champion for others with the disorder, organizing summer programs for children with Autism within the community. She has presented on the topic of inclusion locally and at the Autism Society of America’s annual conference. When the Covid-19 pandemic hit our communities, Kelly became a contact tracer for the Will County Health Department. She attended Southern Illinois University. In her free time, Kelly enjoys concerts and comedy shows, spending time with her family, and searching for the best tacos in any city she visits.

TERRY JONES

Trustee

Terry became Trustee of Wheatland Township in May 2021. He resides in Bolingbrook with his wonderful son and girlfriend, a teacher in Naperville’s 203 district. He is a graduate of Universal Technical Institute, where he earned a diploma in Automotive Technology. He has over 10 years of experience in the automotive industry in various roles and is an avid car enthusiast. He has always been actively engaged within his community and currently serves as an appointed Precinct Committeeperson & Deputy Registrar. Terry prides himself in looking out for the working class. He is committed to strong local government and civic duty, having recently served on the board of a local activist group that prepares citizens for roles in local politics. He strongly values perseverance, integrity, and empathy. Quote to live by: nothing great is ever achieved alone. This mantra is what inspired him to get involved in his community.

COLLEEN ROTKIS

Trustee

Colleen has worked on state and local campaigns in fundraising and grassroots coordination for the past 20 years. She is currently enjoying a switch to the private sector where she works as a project coordinator for 200 IT people. Colleen, her husband Tom and 3 daughters have lived in Plainfield for 13 years. She has volunteered extensively at her daughters’ grade school running their annual auction and teaching Junior Achievement. She also serves at their church as Presider of Children’s Liturgy of the Word. She looks forward to serving the people of Wheatland Township in this new capacity.

Mary Katzberg

Assessor

Mary Katzberg is serving in her first term as Wheatland Township Assessor. Mary was appointed to complete the unexpired term of previous assessor Chuck Kern. Mary is a Wheatland Township resident and has worked in the Township as a Deputy Assessor for 15 years.

DAVID SCRIVEN-YOUNG

Tax Collector and Cemetery Manager

Dave Scriven-Young has served as Collector since 2021 and serves as manager of the Wheatland Township Cemetery.  He is an attorney practicing business, employment, construction, and environmental litigation, and he has lived with his wife and two sons in Naperville for over 15 years.  He received his B.A. in political science and history from Marquette University and his law degree from DePaul University College of Law.  Dave is an active leader in the community, having served as a Wheatland Athletic Association coach and umpire, a greeter and religious education teacher for his parish, a board member for Neuqua Valley High School parent organizations, and a hockey referee for the Amateur Hockey Association of Illinois.
