Register to Vote

In order to be eligible to vote in Will County, you must register. Registration is open throughout the year except during the 27 days preceding an election.  Registration reopens the second day following an election.    The last day for registration of voters by deputy registrars, including municipal, township and road district clerks and precinct committeemen is Tuesday, February 21, 2012 for the General Primary Election on March 20, 2012. 

You may register at:

• The Wheatland Township Office (Mon-Fri from 8:30-4:00; please call first)
• The Will County Clerk's Office, 302 N. Chicago St., Joliet, IL (815) 740-4620
• A Secretary of State Driver's License Facility while applying for or updating your Driver's License or State ID card
• Any location with a deputy, civic or union registrar duly appointed by the county clerk

Early Voting:

The Will County Clerk has identified all locations that will be performing absentee/early voting.  Wheatland Township will be conducting absentee/early voting for the Primary Election at the Township office at these times:

February 27th - March 15th

Monday- Friday 9:00 a.m.- 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.- 4:00 p.m.
Saturday 9:00 a.m.- 11:30 a.m.

State law requires that a registered voter show valid photo identification before voting early. Voters casting an early ballot must display a current driver’s license, a state-issued ID card or another government-issued ID with a photograph. 

Where to Vote on March 20, 2012

There are only 30 precincts in Wheatland Township. Make sure your voting location has not changed. If you are not sure, you can look up your Precinct  and your Voting Locations.  If you know your precinct number, the information below will confirm your voting location.
