Neuqua Valley Work Experience
Wheatland Township has partnered with Nequa Valley Work Experience Program tor for students to come to the Administration Offices on Wednesdays to learn different aspects of the job site.
This program provides work training and job placement for special needs students at the high school. The goals of the program are to provide career exploration and to develop work skills and references. It is similiar to a work co-op program, however the primary difference is that they provide job coaching at the work sites to help the student learn job skills and to teach the student to work as independently as possible.
It is a wonderful program and is our honor to participate. It is a learning experience for all concerned. What a pleasure to work side by side and get to know these students. We highly recommend it to anyone interested. You can contact Neugua Valley's Vocational Coordinator for more information.

There was a banquest held for the Cooperative Work Program graduating seniors and their employers on Thursday, May 6, 2010. Below is a few pictures from the banquet.
