General Assistance
Financial aide to meet the basic needs of individuals residing in Wheatland Township for health and well being. In order to be eligible, a person must meet the financial and non-financial requiements, and have no other potential means of income. This is an ongoing grant program with Work Program requirements. General Assistance is limited to those who do not qualify for other types of state or federally funded assistance. Applications are available in the Township Office, 12337 S. Route 59, Plainfield, IL 60585 (in the North Plainfield Crossing Complex) Monday - Friday (except holidays) from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Emergency Assistance
Financial assistance to alleviate a life threatening circumstance or meet a basic need such as food, rent, utilities, prescriptions, etc. Assistance is issued once in a 12 month period to Township residents who meet the financial eligibility requirements. Application are available in the Township Office, 12337 S. Route 59 , Plainfield, IL 60585 (in the North Plainfield Crossing Complex) Monday - Friday (except holidays) from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
