WHEATLAND TOWNSHIP CEMETERY:  A BRIEF HISTORY

The cemetery was founded by area farmers who managed operations for over 160 years.  In 2001, ownership transitioned to Wheatland Township.  Our Road District employees and cemetery trustees provide care and grounds maintenance to keep the cemetery looking its best.

In 2011, the Cemetery was designated a Will County Historic Landmark by the Will County Historical Preservation Commission and County Board.
